Professional Biography:Prathap Giri Appavu is the founding Director and the Solicitor heading the firm’s operations.Prathap Giri Appavu is an international and Commercial Lawyer with 22 years of collective Legal Practice, a Solicitor (England & Wales) with over a decade of post-qualification experience, and an Advocate in India. He founded Aramm Legal Ltd. in 2019 and is currently the managing director/partner of the firm.His areas of expertise are Immigration Law, Employment Law, Family Law, Conveyancing, Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution.

Civil Litigation & Dispute Resolution—Prathap has experience dealing with debt recovery matters, including appearing before County court; he has handled various business and contractual disputes. He has rich drafting knowledge of legal claims, Letters of Claim, or court orders, issuing court proceedings, negotiating payment arrangements, investigating the debtor’s ability to pay, and bulk debt recovery.

Immigration Law – Prathap heads the firm’s immigration team. He advises corporate and large private sector clients on risk management, sponsor compliance matters and the immigration aspects of business restructuring. He continues to assist many multinational companies in various sectors in maintaining their sponsor license and hiring foreign workers regularly.

Under the supervision of Prathap, the firm provides a highly professional and client-focused service. He also handles complex human rights and private life cases and is widely appreciated for using simple logic and common sense in setting strategies for successful visa applications.

His specialist areas of work also include immigration services for private individuals, many of whom are applying for Tier 1 Investor and Entrepreneur visas. He has a wealth of experience in dealing with human rights cases, appeals, judicial reviews, and Court of Appeal matters.

Employment Law- Prathap advises on all aspects of employment law and has expertise on employment litigation in the Employment Tribunal and High Court, Employment restructures, business-wide changes to employee contracts, TUPE, collective consultation issues, the employment aspects of outsourcing projects and corporate transactions, PFI/PPP deals and data protection.

Prathap regularly advises on exit and settlement negotiations and has particular and extensive experience in advising on employment law issues in the retail and healthcare sectors. Prathap has previous work experience with a corporate law firm handling Employment Law, particularly unfair dismissal.
